Miami Swim Week is in full swing and as we start perusing the sale suits at some of our favorite retailers, we have our eyes peeled for swimwear that will serve us just as well next season. Here’s the good news:

  1. It looks like the popularity of the full-piece is going to extend to yet another summer. And if you had your heart set on a 1990’s inspired solid-colored suit with a Brazilian bottom, then go ahead and invest because they were all over the runway. (i.e., Solid & Striped will still be in business)
  2. Creative cut-outs are back with a vengeance. Carrie Bradshaw circa 2008 would be so proud. So go ahead and invest in that Marysia Swim number you’ve been eyeing.
  3. The prints are subtle and the colors parading down the runways were neutral and chic. Another reason to invest in that rust colored bikini from Prism or a palm printed version from Mikoh.  We can’t be the only ones who are ecstatic that the neons of yesteryear are taking a backseat…for now.
