Our Hearts Are With Houston; Here’s How to Help

Hurricane Harvey made landfall last Friday and has caused record-breaking rainfall in the affected areas since then.

The actual damage in Houston and other impacted cities might not be known for quite some time; when the flood waters clear, severe damage could be lurking beneath them.

As water levels continue to rise and rain is still in the forecast for Houston and the surrounding areas, people are looking for ways to help the victims.  This isn’t a complete list, but here are ways a few of our friends have gathered together to help and ways in which you might be able to join.

PEACOCK ALLEY All three of Peacock Alley’s Dallas locations will be collecting donations thru today (Wednesday), end of day.

BUMBLE – Bumble donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts and are organizing a donation to the Texas Diaper Bank. If you’re in the Austin area, they will be collecting diapers and feminine products at their local Austin Diaper Bank to be sent to the affected places.

ALL THE WIREAll The Wire has created a special “Texas Strong” cuff specifically to benefit relief efforts related to the hurricane. $10 of each Texas Strong cuff supports those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
